How To Let Go In Order To Move Forward: Freedom From Feeling Stuck
I posted this image on instagram and it resonated so deeply with my community there that I thought it would be a wonderful blog post topic.
I would say that the overlying consensus women feel when they read this is "Amen to that!"
Fabulous, I love that response, but what happens from there is the issue. The quote resonates so deeply with women on so many levels because it gives them permission to choose another way.
Choosing another way, wow, what a novel concept. If you’re a woman, it’s likely not something you give yourself permission to do often enough-if at all!
Our female brain creates the narrative that we’ll seem impractical, impulsive, flighty, irresponsible, and out of touch with reality if we change our minds. Two important things to look at here:
Who cares what we “seem like” it’s our life!
What if it actually meant we’re more in touch with reality than ever before?
If this quote resonates with you, and you want to feel empowered to have choice, look no further than yourself. You are the power you are seeking externally. You have the answers you look for in others. You no longer need validation from anyone other than yourself.
Begin with breath. Breathe life to your thoughts, feelings, and desires.
Get quiet. Listen to what your inner voice is telling you. It’s the only voice that matters, and it’s the only voice that knows the truth-your truth.
Allow it all. Allow all feelings for there are no “good” or “bad” feelings, they all serve a purpose.
The time you spent making a mistake was the time you needed to learn what you really want, need, desire, and deserve.
More importantly, mistakes teach us what we don’t want!
